Ian Botham - 1 of 3 England Captains to play for Scunthorpe.

Dennis Compton was good at both. Don't think he played for Scotland, though.

I think the last player to achieve that was Arthur Lipton who played cricket for Gloucestershire and football for Arsenal.

Alan Wharton (former Colne amateur cricketer) played professional rugby league (Salford, I think) and cricket (Lancashire and Leicestershire; also one Test Match).

Not that recently. The first tournament was 1975 - 44 years ago.

Selected for England U 21 but never played. Later for Scotland at football and cricket.

Steve Ogrizovic played for Shropshire (Minor Counties) and obviously Coventry and Liverpool, etc.
Simon Grayson's brothers were a professional rugby player and a pro cricketer. Think his dad might have been a pro cricketer too... my dad played with him for the Yorkshire CC Over 50's.
Joe Hart is apparently a pretty good cricketer. I won't make the joke about him just needing to be a pro footballer too... actually think he's a good goalkeeper (just not as good as Tom!)
