Sarri

Post by Quickenthetempo » Thu May 30, 2019 10:35 pm

He gets quite a bit of stick in England with Sarri ball etc
His goalkeeper refusing to come off and his chewing fag ends.

But I've just seen a video on twitter of him with his Europa League winners medal and he can't take his eyes off it. Proud as punch.

His first trophy win after changing career at 40 years of age, over 20 years ago.

Gone up loads in my opinion of him.

Won the Europa League
3rd in the premier League
League cup finalists

With a squad full of backstabbers. He should be manager of the year.

I thought he did all right at the start of the season playing some pretty good football. They lost their way a bit later but he's still got them third in the table and won the Europa League. Not a bad start by most people's standards.

Shifting Kante to the right was an absolute master stroke.

Should have left after the Kepa incident, when none of his players backed him.

Interesting that Luiz is now urging they stick with him, when he spoke to Kepa and walked away leaving the keeper still on the pitch. When they had Terry, Lampard, Drogba etc he'd have been dragged off by them if that's what was required.

Correct !

Europa league is a great achievement for any club , beaten on pens in league cup and the only side on their day who could beat Liverpool or City . The flouncing primadonnas of Chelsea deserve actually deserve feck all

All that happened in the Europa League was that the 2 richest teams got to the final and the richest team who had one of the best players in the world won it.
It’s hard to think of many decent teams Chelsea played on their way to the final - and in the semis they should have been beaten by a team who finished 7th in the Bundesliga.

I don’t think Sarri has improved Chelsea this season at all. He was embarrassed in the league cup final by his keepers tantrum and whilst they did finish 3rd that was a lot more to do with how poor the other teams around them were. Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and United lost more than 40 games between them in the league this year.

Sarri got lucky - he had Hazard.
