Lancs League T20
Anyone taking a game in tonight? I'm off to seedhill to watch Burnley take on Nelson. Neels Bergh sub pro tonight for Burnley comes highly rated and David Brown making a comeback
Re: Lancs League T20
Might take in Rishton v Gt Harwood if the sun comes out!
Re: Lancs League T20
Sadly its a bit of a trip from Orlando for a T20 but at least Willow TV are showing every World Cup match live. So I get my cricket fix until the Clarets are back in action

Re: Lancs League T20
Rishton 132 for 4. Harwood 1 for 1.

Darwen 25/2 off 6

And we've dropped 1. Might go closer than it should
Re: Lancs League T20
Harwood 76 for 6 with 7 overs to go. C'mon you Rishton!
Re: Lancs League T20
Darwen need 24 off 36 with 5 wickets in hand. Think it's gone, 2 half in at the crease.
Re: Lancs League T20
Darwen needed 13 from last 2 overs, up steps the pro to bowl, he goes for 11!

It looked like game over after 5 overs.
Poor shot selection, poor execution, poor running between the wickets.
( Didn't hit one 4 I think, which must be a first for 20/20 )
Then the bowling/fielding wasn't too good either, we got back into it some how, then threw it away st the end.

Re: Lancs League T20
Another win for the mighty Colne! When were we last unbeaten in all competitions, going into June?
Re: Lancs League T20
What's happened at Colne, to go from whipping boys last year to what, 7 straight wins?
Re: Lancs League T20
I reckon it's a bit of confidence from not having to play the matches against the likes of Walsden and Lowerhouse where we were basically beaten before we started. That and the fact that our 6 opponents so far are all in the bottom half of a 12 team division! (Mind you, they wouldn't be in the bottom half if they had beaten us.) We weren't really whipping boys last year. We finished 18th out of 24 - a quarter of the league was below us.Walton wrote:What's happened at Colne, to go from whipping boys last year to what, 7 straight wins?
Haslingden on Sunday. Big test - if we win that one, we're really on our way. I hope.

It's amazing what a few wins can do for a teams confidence. With Clitheroe and Church both getting beat tonight that group is wide open now.

Re: Lancs League T20
Good to see a few of the amateurs contributing at Colne as well. It's not all down to the pro by any means, Kenton Rhodes in particular has had a great start to the season with the bat.

No it's not Shane Warne and the house will just be glad that Daryn Smit isn't sub pro on Friday night
