There is no team including rovers that I dislike as much as Liverpool. They are so amazingly arrogant and self obsessed.

Pochettino has coached crossing the ball out of him.

I'm old enough to remember when Newcastle built their world around Malcolm Macdonald and nearly won everything. Spurs should flog Kane to Spain and rebuild.

If you dislike a team more than B@stards you can’t be a real Burnley fam :D

Can cross the ball all he wants. Truth is he's awful at defending. I remember Max Gradle ripping him a new asshole against Leeds at the Turf.

Well I have supported Burnley since birth and my dislike for Man United is on a par with Blackburn. I can say that I speak for most clarets brought up In Bacup.

Rovers fans were like rocking horse **** at the east end of the valley, they weren't any. Plenty of United and a few Leeds though

I have seen a video on FB today and not sure if it is real. I missed the 'alledged incident' in the coverage but it seems Trippier was shot by a sniper....

He may have some respect on this board but our players don’t generally go down like a sack of potatoes when a palm of someone’s hand lightly brushes their face. Now where, I wonder, did he learn that trick?

Kane's diving really annoys me, it breaks up the play of his own team

Wouldnt say he was awful at defending, he's better at attacking and crossing but awful? Lowton, who is half the player of trips, is not even awful.
Wish we could sign awful defenders.

Have a word man.

You remember one game where a winger had a good game against him ?....well done

People only point to his defending because his attacking is so great. Mane who has been on fire didn’t get much joy out of him last night.

He’s by a distance the best right back I’ve seen in a claret shirt in 45 years of supporting them

I remember Zaha destroying Tripps when we were in the Championship, so what? Stephen Jordan once marked Ronaldo out of a game, did that make him world class?

He's not had the greatest season but let's be honest, if he was an awful defender he wouldn't have been at a Champions league final with Spurs or a World cup semi with England.

I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

But it begs the question as to why Spurs are quite happy for him to leave and why there aren't a queue of other Prem teams wanting to sign him.

Spurs started him in the Champions league final so they don't think he's that bad. Spurs have progressed since Trippier signed for them, maybe they are reaching a level that is beyond him, that still doesn't mean the alternative is that he's an "awful" defender as stated above. There might be a few clubs looking at him, they'd have to need a right back and have 20m to spend on one plus his wages, so it does narrow the field a little.

I still think he's easily the best rb we've had in my life.

It also begs the question why they bought Aurier for £25m or Sanchez for £35m or Lamela for £30m (etc) and then decide to play the players they already had who cost a lot less like Trippier, Vertonghen, Ali in front of these players most weeks.
The answer being that often clubs go searching for an improvement to existing positions to only find out what they have already got is better....and when Spurs lose Trippier personally I would be surprised if they end up with a right back who is better than him.
