Jo Konta into the semi-finals and will be a strong favourite to reach the final.

Gotta be proud of her.

It was a great win!
She'd been losing her way a bit this last year or so.
Hope she's on the way back.
About time we had someone at the high end of the woman's game as a genuine challenger.

Yes it was a great performance by her. During the match she had a run of winning 22 or 23 continuous points on her own serve.

Makes a change to read a positive thread on this board.

Konta has been in great form reaching the WTA finals in Morocco and Italy, and her serve is a huge asset.

She should reach the final now, where you'd guess Halep awaits, but if she maintains this level a 1st Grand Slam is a real possibility.

Victory here and the expectations will rise for Wimbledon, the woman's game is very open just now,the Williams sisters reign is coming to an end,and the likes of Osaka and Muguruza are emerging among others, but Konta at top form can compete with them.

Normally you'd be shocked, but with the way this tournament's unfolded, the woman's results anyway, the man's event has gone more to form, then it not a surprise anymore.

It means whoever emerges from the final 4 they'll be a debut Grand Slam winner.

Also means Konta is the favourite i guess, that brings it's own pressures, but thus far she's handled all the challenges.

Well yes. Your right. The seedings seem to have been up in the air from early on.
But was thinking Halep going gave Konta a better shot at the title.

Is an unseeded yank what you have after a vasectomy?
