Will we have just the one big screen at Turf Moor or are they putting a big screen on EACH of the two new corner stands ?
The one screen already in place is difficult to see from the James Hargreaves Stand.

There is a second going in but I don't think the club have decided where yet.

Information relayed on big screens is great - except not everyone can see the screens

An app would be good but would need 5G to support the number of people using their phone in the stadium

All sounds hit n miss - pretty much like many refereeing decisions.

If screens can't be seen of if there aren't any, then there will be PA messages. At a lot of grounds in the Premier League, phone access is fine. At Burnley I've found it almost impossible to use mine.

I find it nigh on impossible to get a signal inside the ground.

"Clear and obvious errors" still needs defining. So far they have decided that offside by an inch, using technology that isn't accurate enough to judge that closely, is "clear and obvious".

When it says VAR can be used in clear and obvious errors would that include the appointment of Jon Moss ?

Using your mobile at TM is difficult but at half time it’s virtually impossible as so many users try to access the network. 5G is ideal in densely populated areas and would get you the VAR decision in super fast time. You just need a new contract and a new handset and you get Lee Mason’s decision in favour of the other team straight away

Given they’ve not used VAR at all yet we probably have to wait and see how they use it for offsides but if you read what’s been said it will be used for clear and obvious errors AND serious missed incidents leading to goals.

I think the 'clear and obvious' is meant to come in for incidents like a red card offence that the ref has missed. Offside is seen as a black and white issue that the technology should be able decide on (aside from the debate about frame rates and the point of when the ball leaves the foot etc.)

Lets hope the scoreboard can keep up with what's going on.

The Premier League is investigating the possibility of messages and video-clips being viewed on handheld devices via an app:

mmmm! :?
