The press hear Qatar and always assume it is QSI - Newcastle was Abu Dhabi (and Sheik Mansour's cousin - though that particular relationship has a fraught history)

The Quatri interest in Leeds (if from QSI) probably has more to with relationships between BeIn Media and Eleven Sport. Though Leeds have an existing an relationship with Qatar's Aspire Academy (A different organisation to QSI), what they are actually looking for is a club where their young "Aspire Academy" players can further develop ahead of the 2022 World Cup (They are the current Asian Champions) - they have a couple of such relationships already in 2nd tier European leagues, this would mean a small shareholding in a club not outright ownership, and certainly not the level of investment that would see them take on Europe's finest (not that that is even possible under UEFA FFP these days)

I have posted on these issues a number of times in the Magic Money Tree thread including on the complex politics in Qatar that leads to different government interests clashing on football pursuits and purposes - with the most recent being an argument why QSI are unlikely to give up on PSG
