Not sure how much more relevant he'd need to get tbh

I see I've taught you a new word. I don't have a narrative, I'm just presenting facts and using those facts to inform my opinion that it's highly likely we'll make a signing before the window closes. I haven't expressed an opinion on the quality of signing(s), but based on SD's record over his time here I think it's more likely to be successful than unsuccessful.joey13 wrote:Relevance , stop playing dim to fit in with your narrative or at least take a day off

As Sid says, of course the signings I mentioned are relevant.
Looking back over five years is also a far more representative sample size than just the last two.
What is it about recent signings that makes them more relevant?
Yes and recent last minute signings haven’t worked, Jesus H Christ surely it’s not that difficult to comprehendGodIsADeeJay81 wrote:All signed by Dyche towards the end of transfer windows.

Trot some names out then, so we can discuss your point and see how correct you are.joey13 wrote:Yes and recent last minute signings haven’t worked, Jesus H Christ surely it’s not that difficult to comprehend

From Chris Boden.
It's getting fairly close to the deadline now, fingers crossed.
Can he play in midfield?claret59 wrote:Jesus H Christ,

Yep and we all know what could happen if he signed. Nothing against Gary, but Tarks ismassive forthe massive for us. Or maybe its Gibbo that would leave.Murger wrote:No way Cahill signs if he's a bench warmer.

Sky Sports reporting a similar thing now, in regards of Tarks.middleton claret wrote:If Cahill signs for us then Tarks will go to Leicester to replace Maguire.

what are you on about? Tarkowski is not 33 and Cahill is not 22...claretonthecoast1882 wrote:Especially if we replace a 33yr old with a 22 yr old

Possibly. Leeds fan at work reckons a reliable source is also reporting it.Down_Rover wrote:lazy guess

Maybe the club see him as soon-to-be second choice behind Pope.TheFamilyCat wrote:Possibly. Leeds fan at work reckons a reliable source is also reporting it.
Not sure why we’d need him though if Hart and Pope are both staying unless he’s the next one in the pipeline and he’s loaned out for a season.
Maybe. I did say I wasn’t sure why we needed him if Pope and Hart stay.FactualFrank wrote:Maybe the club see him as soon-to-be second choice behind Pope.
Because despite being accused of short termism by some on here the club are succession planning. That’s why we have a great keeper like Pope to step into Heaton’s shoes, why we had Tarkowski to replace Keane, Taylor for Ward. We bring in players not necessarily for the first team today but in one or two years time.TheFamilyCat wrote:Maybe. I did say I wasn’t sure why we needed him if Pope and Hart stay.
...and I was pointing out that my response to the post directly above my initial reply was referencing Tarkowski leaving and Cahill being his replacement, whats hard to understand?claretonthecoast1882 wrote:You claimed we will soon be a squad of journeymen, just pointing out that replacing a 33 yr old keeper with a 22 yr old isn't exactly what you are claiming. That’s what I alluded to in the first post FF quoted. I’d be surprised if he was happy to join as third choice (assuming Pope & Hart are 1 & 2) which is why I mooted loaning him out.martin_p wrote:Because despite being accused of short termism by some on here the club are succession planning. We used to and it worked a treat. The problem is we stopped a year ago especially re Defour and Cork and now we appear to be at the mercy of the market for what we need in cm. The most likely outcome now is we won't buy.martin_p wrote:Because despite being accused of short termism by some on here the club are succession planning.
