For once our board need to grow a pair and explain its a £50m release clause all payable at once for Tarks
We have given players away previously, most recently Tom and now we can deal with any sale for effectively for the interests of Burnley FC

Linked to a loan deal for young Spurs striker Troy Parrott.
Between us and Brighton. If Vydra is off to Leeds then this deal might make sense. Otherwise I can’t see it happening.

We dont do loans, they very rarely work out at Burnley, I'm not sure why, but we dont need another forward.
If they can lend us a CM though

What would be the point of the young lad from Spurs coming up here for a season? He'd be struggling to even make the bench, better off staying at Spurs and playing for their under 23s.

Not seeing any strong links for a midfielder, at this stage, is disappointing. I hope something is happening in the background because I think we are solid all over the rest of the pitch.
Come on Rigg, prove your worth!

Have a f’in day off eh
Go on the match
Go shopping
Go for a stroll
Have a chat with a Bolton or Bury fan about how they feel at the moment.
It must be exhausting being as permanently miserable as you are all the time

In the real world, we're about to kick off our fourth consecutive season in the Premier League with an excellent chance of staying up again.
Happy days indeed.

And there is the rub. You say excellent. I'd say evens as of now. With a new Defour, I'd say good chance. You appear to want to risk all with a stash of cash and resources to write off Defour's wages and replace him with little risk just because you believe the Board are perfect.

So Europa league form in the second half of last season counts for nothing then, even with an out of form Jack Cork?

And still people don't get it, FOOTBALLERS GET INJURIES especially those that tackle most. Teams make in game subs, especially in cm. Every other team can we often can't.
Cork was in form after Xmas and out of it before when we had relegation form. It's not rocket science.

The very obvious point is that we can only strengthen centre midfield if a player who would do that is available and is willing to move to Burnley. If that's not the case, we can't strengthen and we go with what we've got. In the Premier League we are a stranger in a foreign land and will always be so. What fun it is as well to keep on defying all the odds stacked against us.

I'd agree with this.
Now that Brendan is busy counting his £80m he has the prospect of starting the season with 2 centre halves in their 50s and the transfer window clock is ticking.
We're not under any pressure to sell.
Ironically, being released by Chelsea has put Cahill in a very strong bargaining position with a healthy choice of clubs now that the first domino has toppled.

Why are some people so gulliable? We can if we want
Outspend most teams in the world, baring the giants. We choose not too. Dyche targets domestic players and the board don’t appear to be loosening the purse strings to compete in the domestic market.
We have all know for a long time that we should be targeting players from foreign leagues as the value for money is much greater but we don’t. Dyche does not venture from his comfort zone.

Have you ever thought players aren't attracted to Burnley, there's probably 19 more attractive clubs in the PL.
Why come to Burnley , even in Lancashire, when there is more cash and bright lights elsewhere?
