I wonder if he’ll speak to Colin for his opinion on both clubs? Not sure who he’ll be less complimentary about.

Even if we have managed to match Palace’s offer wage wise I doubt even one of Sean’s finest omelettes will beat the draw of the bright lights of London.

He didn't say how large he suggested the eggs should be.

I bet those five aren't all in the first XI on Saturday.
Great well if we can spend that kind of money on mere squad players just think of what we could spend on DSR's first 11

Not if he reads the crime stats and speaks to Arsenal players Ozil Kolasinac and WHU Andy Carroll. :D :D :D

I've said many times before - London's a sh!thole compared to Cheshire and the North West - there's nothing stopping him visiting the tourist parts as he wishes, but for living - North West any day of the week.

Was going to suggest the same thing. I don’t get all
This London draw.. far nicer parts of the county than London.

One major problem with our squad is that we have 3 players who cost us around 30 million (at a guess) who in all probability will hardly play this season ( Defour Vydra Wells) and maybe due to injuries you can add Brady to that list.

Anyone worried Leicester will come in for Tarks but so late that we won’t have time to get a replacement?

Tarks is their preferred replacement for Mcguire. If they dont replace him they are screwed. Remember we have to pay Brentford 25% of any profit !!!

We do have a replacement, but we wont have an equal replacement. Gibson is the "replacement" and Dunne can step up I'm sure to be the backup on the bench with Long (unless Long is also off) and whilst I dont have any specific issues with this, you're right that we should be forward planning, and I am sure the management team are doing just that.

What we do know is that it never goes the way we fans want or expect.

We have 5 cbs at present so no problem
I am more concerned that a speedy winger and a cm playmaker to replace Brady and Defour arent being signed

If we got Cahill in, that would be a good replacement.

This could be another reason for the hold up of Camarasa to Palace

That site is dogger, if it's to be believed we'd have a 35 man squad come Thursday.

We've been linked with players for certain fees, what department they operate, but no names ever mentioned.

Not stopped Liverpool, Man Utd and Man City attracting players - Chelsea pay similar wages down in the big smoke

If Cahill signs for Palace rather than us (as seems very likely) it may not be the lure of the bright lights of London or even the wages on offer if we've matched them, but more likely the fact that he and his family can stay where they are well settled, especially at 33.

I expect someone to post that we should be in for him too & what's Rigg doing :)
i hope they get him, he might be another transfer failure for them. See they've just let Sorloth go, he looked a promising player.......til he went to Palace!

During the transfer window, people say 'judge us when the windows shut'. Rinse and repeat.
If we don't add to our squad, we've had a shocker.
