I still have this horrible feeling our only transfer dealings will peak on deadline day evening with Peter Crouch signing a new one year deal. Nightmare......

I think our biggest problem might be the emphasis we place on the value of an omelette in transfer negotiations.NL Claret wrote:I totally agree it is the type of potential we should be signing. Some utc posters will want a foreign import costing millions. If dyche has actually met with him there's probably a good chance of signing him if he likes an omelette.
Different markets have different requirements.
If we want to target European players Sean is going to have to learn how to make crepes.
I know they look easy to make, but developing the skill to twirl the trowel on a crepe griddle is a lot harder than it appears to be. Mastering a new food offering can take time, we just have to be supportive and confident that Sean will get the hang of it and expand his cooking repertoire.
We might be able to speed things along by booking him in for an intensive training course at Quick Crepes in Burnley Centre or splash out on some croissants from Home Bargains and bedazzle our targets with some crafty "here is one I made earlier".

Aiden O'Neill will apparently re-sign with us after his contract expires this month, and will then be loaned out to Brisbane Roar (or Robbie Fowler's Brisbane Roar to give them their full name).

Thing is, plenty believe he has spent long enough in this kitchen to be familiar with knocking up a crepe... maybe even long enough to attempt something from further afield? I think it'll be a good window, problem is, to get deals done early, you need to offer the asking price to the club regards fee, and the player regards package, something we will never do I am afraid.
That's our way of working.
At the moment our target is currently still in Ibiza, so wont be signing anytime soon.

At 33 and with Pope signing a new deal. It might be wise to listen to offers elsewhere. Will be shame because he’s a good captain.

Be very interested how Farke does next season. He’s their man and knows they like their football flowing in Norfolk, yet doesn’t seem to me anyone’s mental enough to spend big. He’s going to have to play olé...and defend like Burnley. Be some manager if he pulls it off.mkmel wrote:And unlike Fulham they spend very little money in comparison

It took me a while to find out what he was on about but apparently either he came to see us last weekend or we came to see him.
I can't find anything on any of the Spanish websites but the price seems to be between 2-5 million Euros as Barca have a buyback clause for 4 million and Eibar can buy him for 2 million.
There are several clubs after him including some German teams, that's everything I know folks.

Barca seem keen to keep him so unless they were to loan him out I can't see him leaving.
