Yeah cos that's the logical solution for those of us who want our team to try and improve.

You could all start by stopping wetting your beds until the window closes. Then have a moan if you must. Collectively we are known as “supporters” there is not much support going on from some on here.

Aye fair enough...lets stop all comment until the window closes, then check back to see if we are allowed to comment.

Were not trying hard enough we should be :-

Keeping players against their will
Giving all new signings a minimum of 30k a week more than highest paid player
Allowing said player to be on same wage if we get relegated
Signing every player mentioned in a rumour unless we think there not good enough to start
Etc etc

More a case of we have to work on a presumption that Tarks will go. It's no good losing Tarks and not having another CB lined up to come in
It will all depend on Leicester I reckon, once one goes the dominoes will tumble.

Nothing against comments it’s the repetition of cry babies because we haven’t signed a CM. I’d like one in as well but griping on here isn’t going to move things on and tge window is still open.

I can see where they are coming from to be honest. A regular England u21 international with a long term contract signed last year till 2023 and no reason to sell. Lazy journalism say he's contracted till 2021 but that's incorrect if you do a bit of digging yourself. He's a local lad who has no desire to leave at the moment and has been linked with bigger clubs in recent history being Man Utd and Liverpool. They do seem to be trying to reduce the outgoings but the way they are trying to do that is to get rid of the high earners not sell their young assets which Woodgate is trying to encourage. Flint, Downing, Mikel and Braithwaite all gone reducing the wage bill by probably £150k a week easy plus £10m in sales.

Webster has also just joined Brighton for £20m and Fry is younger and a much better prospect than him or Ben Gibson. Maguire for £80m, Tarks being linked with £40m+ move to Leicester and Ake being valued at £75m by bournemouth I think its a time to just name your price.

Why else do you think I'm on here? I've heard there's a fair few recruitment specialists on this forum. We're just putting out the feelers to see if anyone on here knows a player who's available who could add to our group.

Speaking of which, are you free on Saturday, TheFamilyCat? We're willing to offer you two Twixes per month but you'd have to bring your own boots (that's a deal-breaker).

I’ve no plans but I am a central defender by trade, however ablueclaret thinks I could play the midfield holding role.

TARKOWSKI TO LEICESTER UNLIKELY

Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski looks to set to miss out on a move to Leicester City.

After missing out on Gary Cahill, who joined Crystal Palace on Monday, the Lancashire club are more reluctant to sell Tarkowski, who would cost north of £40m.

After reaching an impasse with the Clarets over a fee, the Foxes are now understood to be looking at loan options - within and outside the UK - to replace Harry Maguire.

As kick off draws ever nearer it’s looking more and more like we’re gonna start from a virtually identical pool of players ( Jay rod and the odd back up player aside) I’m still hoping SD pulls a late rabbit out the hat as with Defour finished we’re are literally crying out for midfield creativity /ball carrying .
