Our list looks so much longer than the others, but it's because we've let so many of our young lads go.

Would that involve making a Booty Call?

Players are on there for a reason. Tread VERY cautiously.

There are a few worth looking at and on the right deal and terms i wouldnt be averse to one or maybe two of them to add to some better, younger signings.

One that stands out is Babel. But would also be interested in on the right deal Cahill, Wellbeck, Baines (backup to Taylor), markovic, danny simpson, sturridge, moreno, valencia, llorente.

Local boy, Marc Pugh has been mentioned on here quite a bit in recent seasons as a possible in windows, might be of interest for some.

Definitely an area to improve. But not the man to do it. Burnley connections or not.

Made a great career for himself. But championship at best now.

Fair enough, I’ve not followed him closely enough to feel qualified to comment

Lot from Man U, usually fertile ground for clubs........ remember James Wilson? Was touted as the next big thing for them a few years back but think he might have got an injury while on loan if memory serves

Think Crouch's contract was until June so think it's on that list automatically but not sure.

Of the ones we could potentially sign I can’t see a single good name.

These players will all have offers from top division clubs in European leagues:

Mohamed Diame
Fernado Llorente
Danny Welbeck
Gary Cahill
Bakary Sako
Daniel Sturridge
Antonio Valencia
Samir Nasri

Bit of a stretch to say there's not a single name that would improve our first team squad.

Probably over 90% I've never heard of including some of our list.

Several mercenaries on there who are good but out of our reach.

I said “of the ones we could potentially sign”.

Something tells me Antonio Valencia and his £100k per week wages will not be on the agenda.

Would take Welbeck under a pay as play type contract, couldn’t see that happening though, no doubt will sign for a club willing to pay silly wages. His pace would certainly give us an out.

Pay per play is exactly right for many on that list. How many of us work with someone who is just happy to be employed with a contract than actually interested in working for a living?
There are some proper p1ss takers in this world.

I could see us going for Okozaki from Leicester....think he fits what Dyche likes in a forward although not sure about his age?

Cech
Valencia Jagielka Cahill Baines
Babel Ramsey Herrera Nasri
Llorrente Sturridge

Where would that team finish in the Prem ?

I'm saying top 4

Which Prem? Scottish Prem?

Ramsey, Herrera maybe. As regular starters.

Some of them are still good enough for this level. But no way top 4!

Was Joe Hart not on 100k a week before he came to us?

Not sure the likes of Valencia will be commanding those kinds of wages at their next club.

Conor Mitchell has signed for Larne . Ex Claret Mark Randall has also signed there.

The attraction of Burnley was a route back to the English national team. I’d call Hart an anomaly.

There's bound to be a catch, a snag with released players. Sorry if that seems self-evident. It's often simply a question of age, wages becoming too onerous, injuries or a combination of two or all three. But that doesn't mean the players are crap or of no use to anybody. Llorente is a case in point. Despite scoring a few crucial goals, his record at Spurs wasn't good and he, in their manager's opinion, isn't good enough as a replacement for Kane. However, I think he could still do a job for a bottom-half Liga team although he'd have to take a pretty big pay-cut.

Gary Cahill, I think, could do a decent job in the Championship. Plus he'd be a very good member of a group. A real leader.

Had a look online and estimates place his wages between £135,000 and £175,000 a week at Manchester City.

Those names have a great pedigree, but now they're past their best, injury prone and in Nasri's case returning from a drugs ban.

The only 2 that might do a job short-term for BFC,are perhaps Cahill and Llorrente, but i'd only take them on a one year contract, wages could also be a problem.

I wouldn't be surprised if most of them ended up swanning off to China for a final payday.

Do mind sharing how you know that?

Literally every single estimate I've seen is north of £100,000

According to what I've read, Manchester City gave him a lump sum to compensate for the massive loss in wages. A golden handshake of sorts..

If you have a more credible source, please share.
