How good are Mondays?

Post by FactualFrank » Mon Jun 10, 2019 7:43 am

I just thought I'd put it out there.

Mondays are brilliant. I thought I lost my phone - I hadn't.

Not changed much but the beer is only £1.90 a pint. Also you can nip round to the New Brewm, sometimes they have a chocolate and vanilla stout at £2 a pint and it is excellent.

Noooooo. Mondays are great. Tuesdays are the only pointless day of the week. Neither here nor there.

Weve built up for monday. Prepared for it. Tuesday the sneaky ******* comes out of nowhere.

Wednesday half way there. Thursday is Friday eve. Fridays pretty much weekend.

Only time of week that piased me off as a kid was antiques roadshow sunday... ffs schools nearly here.

Since I retired earlier this year Monday has become my favourite day. I can wake up safe in the knowledge that after 48 years of unbroken employment I can turn over and just have a lie-in.

Monday, Monday, so good to me
Monday mornin´, it was all I hoped it would be
Oh Monday mornin´, Monday mornin´ couldn´t guarantee
That Monday evenin´ you would still be here with me

Monday, Monday, can´t trust that day
Monday, Monday, sometimes it just turns out that way
Oh Monday mornin´ you gave me no warnin´ of what was to be
Oh Monday, Monday, how could you leave and not take me

Every other day, every other day
Every other day of the week is fine, yeah
But whenever Monday comes, but whenever Monday comes
A-you can find me cryin´ all of the time

Monday, Monday, so good to me
Monday mornin´, it was all I hoped it would be
But Monday mornin´, Monday mornin´ couldn´t guarantee
That Monday evenin´ you would still be here with me

Every other day, every other day
Every other day of the week is fine, yeah
But whenever Monday comes, but whenever Monday comes
A-you can find me cryin´ all of the time

Monday, Monday, can´t trust that day
Monday, Monday, it just turns out that way
Oh Monday, Monday, won´t go away
Monday, Monday, it´s here to stay
Oh Monday, Monday
Oh Monday, Monday

It begs the question, why are Mondays so close to Friday, yet Fridays are so far away from Mondays?

Monday is no different to any other day personally.

It's just popular to whine about getting up for work on a Monday, so I just assume a lot of people have jobs they don't like.

Or they dont have a very good life outside of work.

I don't mind being at work, it enables me to do all the others things I enjoy in life, the life it provides and pays for, far outweighs the work I do to get that lifestyle.
I'd rather work 52 hours a week than none, that's for sure.

In Monday Club there are only 2 rules

Rule One, No-one talks about Monday Club
Rule two, Refer to Rule One

What happens at Monday Club stays at Monday Club
