That was referencing the earlier posts about possibility of prison for non-payment.martin_p wrote:Who exactly is anyone disobeying by not watching the BBC? And there’s far more than £700k at stake.

Ah ok, misunderstood.Tricky Trevor wrote:That was referencing the earlier posts about possibility of prison for non-payment.
Any boycott of the BBC to protest at the government withdrawing funding for free licences seems pretty pointless. I don’t think the government could care less what tv channel people are watching.

I don't know why they're complaining. Surely att those old conservative voters will be delighted with the tax cut they're all going to get from Boris. Clearly they all earn over 50k so surely the £150 they'll have to spend on their TV license will be easily affordable.

Simple solution give people the option to opt out of the BBC. British Brainwashing Corporation.ClaretTony wrote:Currently, if anyone in a household is over the age of 75, it qualifies for a free television licence. Not any longer, will only apply to those on pension credit.
I would definitely opt out given the choice.
Or they introduce advertising and then nobody needs to pay for a TV Licence.
Or scrap the BBC altogether..
