BTW:Civil disobedience worked perfectly well in Ireland, when they brought in water charges. They were scrapped and repayments made.
Who exactly is anyone disobeying by not watching the BBC? And there’s far more than £700k at stake.

That was referencing the earlier posts about possibility of prison for non-payment.

Ah ok, misunderstood.

Any boycott of the BBC to protest at the government withdrawing funding for free licences seems pretty pointless. I don’t think the government could care less what tv channel people are watching.

I don't know why they're complaining. Surely att those old conservative voters will be delighted with the tax cut they're all going to get from Boris. Clearly they all earn over 50k so surely the £150 they'll have to spend on their TV license will be easily affordable.

Simple solution give people the option to opt out of the BBC. British Brainwashing Corporation.

I would definitely opt out given the choice.

Or they introduce advertising and then nobody needs to pay for a TV Licence.

Or scrap the BBC altogether..
