They've been too stable for too long now.

I believe the English translation for his name is literally :
Caretaker Manager.
Caretaker Manager.

My money's on late September, when he will either be sacked, or resign, citing " Unwelcome interference from the Directors in team affairs " ...claretonthecoast1882 wrote:Til July or August ?

Re: Laurent Banide in at Oldham
Pete Wild , former caretaker , was on GMR this morning questioning the appointment based on no knowledge of players at the level, doesn't know what it takes to get out of league 2 and doesn't speak English.
He be long gone before the clocks go back.

Happy to see Dino back in a job quickly. He was great with us when we were doing work experience back in the day

Oldham is a car crash of a club. Only last week they issued a long statement updating their fans and said they’d been pleased with the work Badine was doing.

I would definitely echo that CT and for some time now whilst reading about the shenanigans at Bury, Bolton and Coventry I've been sure that a similar crisis awaits at Oldham somewhere down the line with their somewhat "erratic" owner at the helm. We'll see!
Re: Laurent Banide in at Oldham
My prediction was a month out.
The last I read was that Oldham have a relatively new stand that they don't own and is currently closed.

I wondered why that stand was totally empty last Saturday.NL Claret wrote:The last I read was that Oldham have a relatively new stand that they don't own and is currently closed.

It is owned by one of the players. As part of his joining hazing they sent him for a long stand and he came back 10 minutes later having bought it.TheFamilyCat wrote:Who owns it and what do they use it for?

Re: Laurent Banide in at Oldham
It's owned by Brass Bank and I found the following from that lengthy statement from last week.TheFamilyCat wrote:Who owns it and what do they use it for?
The issues surrounding the use of the North Stand continues to be negotiated with Brass Bank Limited with a view to an amicable and sustainable resolution. Please don’t believe the various statements on social media surrounding the OEC’s contract offer to the club. The current offer not only significantly weakens the club and its revenue generation potential, but also ignores the major legal issues referred to below.
In November 2016, the club surrendered the North Stand to Brass Bank despite the club having contributed millions of pounds to its construction, partially through significant grants from the Council. Brass Bank then granted a lease of the North Stand to Oldham Event Centre, the entity trying to get us to agree to a deal to use our stand on punitive terms.
We instructed forensic accountants and lawyers to start an investigation into the whole process last month and we are in dialogue with the Council on the matter. The investigation is in progress and it’s not appropriate to reveal its findings on a piecemeal basis. We will tell you about it once it is complete. This investigation will enable the club to assist regulators in finding the answers, as well as ensuring any wrongs done to the club are righted. Please rest assured that the club will not rest until these key issues are resolved properly. In the meantime, the seats in the stand will always be available for spectator use and we are trying to reach an interim solution with the freeholder as regards the boxes and the use of the interior of the North Stand.

The club is owned by Abdallah Lemsagam who was a football agent. The sporting director at the club is Mohamed Lemsagam and I think it is a good guess to suggest they might be related.
