Post by ClaretTony » Thu Jun 13, 2019 10:01 am

All the dates you need are now on the Friendlies & Key Dates page

1. League Cup dates
2. FA Cup dates
3. Dates when TV games are announced
4. International breaks

It seems that the tv companies have not thought too much about supporters yet again. Norwich's first Premier League match since their promotion is on a Friday night away to Liverpool. A long way to travel, probably no public transport for their return journey and a working day.

No thought at all. Sky have at least spoken to supporter organisations. They claim to understand the issue but then say they’ve paid a lot of money for the product. BT Sport are a different story altogether. They are the ones who move games twice at short notice with no consultation at all.

Have there been any changes to the timing and process of choosing TV fixtures following the mounting criticism from fans and politicians etc?

There are rules regarding lead times for fixtures to be changed. In fairness Sky do tend to stick to it but BT Sport don’t seem to care at all about it.

Is there a planned winter break this season?

Yeah, the fixtures on the 8th February will be split across the 8 and the 15th. So our game at Southampton may be moved back a week. So every club will have a weekend off.

They've called it a player break rather than a winter break. It will be December before we find out which date we will be playing on when the TV games are selected across the two weekends.
