Re: Jo Brand
Full house, bfcjg !
Love how a feeble joke by a pisspoor comedian on a little show nobody on here seems to have heard brings out all your fear and prejudice.
Who, exactly, has she encouraged to chuck battery acid around ?
In what way is she a "darling" of the BBC ?
In what way is the judiciary left leaning ?
What has her being a "consummate" remainer to do with anything ?
I'm neither agreeing nor disagreeing but would love to hear how you arrive at these rather damning and very specific theories.

Re: Jo Brand
Amazingly, this comment actually received a 'like'. It is a far more offensive comment than Jo Brand's 'joke'.Top Claret wrote:Horrible obnoxious fat cow
Why do I think this? Because it was said in all seriousness whereas Brand's was intended to be a joke, even if few of us can see much humour in it.

I was just about to post exactly the same thing about the ugly lesbian post above. Sheer hatred shown in those posts compared to the throwaway comment made by Brand.spadesclaret wrote:Amazingly, this comment actually received a 'like'. It is a far more offensive comment than Jo Brand's 'joke'.

She is a nice person and that side of her I like. I don't think she is funny and she is a darling left wing luvvie.

Re: Jo Brand
I don't know her so I couldn' say whether she's nice or not.
I don't think she's funny as a comedian but is pretty good at presenting stuff like the Bake Off spin-off. Very droll.
You'll have to explain what a "darling, left-wing luvvie" is.
I know she's a life-long Labour supporter and has raised thousands for all kinds of good causes - not just the famous ones - so I guess that makes her left wing for sure.
The "darling luvvie" bit - do tell.

Re: Jo Brand
I didn't say you did. I said that the reason it's on the news is because the hysterical right got it on the news. If someone sees it on the news and decides to throw battery acid at someone because they heard about it on the news then that's not Jo Brand's fault.Dazzler wrote:I didn't say she that she had said it on the news..stop getting hysterical and read my post again.
