How many sellouts last year
Anybody know how many games we sold out last year?
Home fans in the home games and away fans in away games...

Re: How many sellouts last year
Definitely 5 away at West Ham, Huddersfield, Man U, Liverpool & Chelsea
Re: How many sellouts last year
Wasn’t Aberdeen away a sellout
Re: How many sellouts last year
But we only sold out at West Ham, Liverpool and Chelsea due to taking reduced allocations.ClaretTony wrote:Definitely 5 away at West Ham, Huddersfield, Man U, Liverpool & Chelsea

Man U was only a 2.5k allocation.Leisure wrote:But we only sold out at West Ham, Liverpool and Chelsea due to taking reduced allocations.
I think Everton sold out didn't it at 10 pound a ticket?
There would of been over 10 home sell outs. Top 6, Everton, Wolves, Cardiff for definate.

Re: How many sellouts last year
And those three sold out very late in the day so the allocation we took was the correct one.Leisure wrote:But we only sold out at West Ham, Liverpool and Chelsea due to taking reduced allocations.

Pretty sure Fulham away was a sell-out too.

We sold out at Burton but most the home fans never bothered to turn up to see an historic victory over a premier league team.

Re: How many sellouts last year
Although home support has remained fairly constant the novelty of the Premier League was certainly short-lived as far as away support was concerned! Last season Accy Clarets ran 41 coaches to away games, transporting 2050 fans. The previous season it was 74 coaches and 3780 fans.

Re: How many sellouts last year
Two seasons ago we were pushing for Europe, last season we were attempting to avoid relegation.Leisure wrote:Although home support has remained fairly constant the novelty of the Premier League was certainly short-lived as far as away support was concerned! At Christmas we looked like it was the drop for us, so i'd say hardly surprising the numbers tailed off in such a way. Don't think you can say it's the novelty wearing off.

Possibly not but we'll see this season.Goody1975 wrote:Two seasons ago we were pushing for Europe, last season we were attempting to avoid relegation.

Re: How many sellouts last year
I think the boring football away from home puts lots of it certainly did me.

I went to the boring game at Man U and watched the boring games on tv against Brighton and Chelsea. Oh so boring footballbfcjg wrote:I think the boring football away from home puts lots of it certainly did me.

Did you go to the exciting games at Crystal Palace, Man City, West Ham and Wolves too?NL Claret wrote:I went to the boring game at Man U and watched the boring games on tv against Brighton and Chelsea. Oh so boring football
Re: How many sellouts last year
No, I was so bored of the boring football we played against Southampton to bother watching us away again until the United game.Claretforever wrote:Did you go to the exciting games at Crystal Palace, Man City, West Ham and Wolves too?
I won't be going away again until Dyche can guarantee unboring football and we go toe to toe with the oppo and try to win every game 3-0 playing champagne football.

Re: How many sellouts last year
I'm quite prepared to put up with some boring/poor performances away from home for the joy I get from a few good ones/wins. Anyone who expects us to out-perform most home teams is never going to be happy!

Re: How many sellouts last year
The lack of sell outs certainly shows the current ticket policy is the right one.

Correct, until the infrequent travelers decide that they want to go to a game but can't get a ticket and then the policy will be criticised!claretonthecoast1882 wrote:The lack of sell outs certainly shows the current ticket policy is the right one.

I think they all turned up...and brought a friend.rufus lumley wrote:We sold out at Burton but most the home fans never bothered to turn up to see an historic victory over a premier league team.
That's Burton's problem.
Re: How many sellouts last year
I criticise, as a frequent traveller, who sometimes falls foul of the non travellers, with loads of home only points, claiming the tickets.Leisure wrote:Correct, until the infrequent travelers decide that they want to go to a game but can't get a ticket and then the policy will be criticised!
Re: How many sellouts last year
The away section definitely sold out. The empty seats were probably in the neutral section next to it.JohnDearyMe wrote:Loads of empty seats in the away section at Fulham last season

No, was sat in the away sectionaggi wrote:The away section definitely sold out. The empty seats were probably in the neutral section next to it.
Re: How many sellouts last year
There were possibly some empty seats due to the late switch from Saturday to Sunday but it was definitely sold out. (There's a thread on here somewhere about it being sold out, I remember suggesting people buy tickets in the neutral section.)JohnDearyMe wrote:No, was sat in the away section
