2-0 now...
Re: Scotland v Japan
Both dodgy lead up to the goals. Unreal offside decision, the Scot was still miles behind the Jap 2 seconds after the ball was played. Oh well, surely VAR could be allowed for such incompetence?

Lack of VAR experience plus very poor officiating is making this World Cup a very hard watch it has to be said.

I thought that was the whole point of VAR to correct clear and obvious errors, evidently that's not the case in this WC,there has been some howlers which haven't been picked up on review4:20 wrote:Both dodgy lead up to the goals. A jokes a joke though right?
Re: Scotland v Japan
Scotland completely cheated out of something there. They scored the only genuine goal nd should have had a pen themselves. The flop for the Japan penalty would have made mo salah proud.

Re: Scotland v Japan
Totally agree saw the highlights at HT during the England game, how on earth is that not a penalty, the player even moved her hand towards the ball and diverted it away from the Scotland attacker(Erin Cuthbert) i think, yet England get a penalty a few days ago when the ball strikes the Scottish full backs arm as she's trying to block a cross,i'd say the England penalty was a harsh decision, but by new latter of the law fair enough, however how can the officials award one but not the other,it's the lack of consistency that baffles me,and even with the supposedly all-seeing VAR they still can't arrive at the correct decisions half the time.timshorts wrote:Scotland completely cheated out of something there. On the Japanese pen,i thought like many woman's football wasn't soured by the dark acts, seemingly we where naive and it's just as cynical as the men''s game.
The Scots can feel hard done by 3 major refereeing calls, but for these fine margins they could be sat on 2 points and eyeing a last 16 place, the encouraging aspect for them is Argentina looked poor and definitely beatable, whether that will suffice other results will dictate.
