England v Argentina ....
Argentina dishing it out , Referee out of her depth ... 0-0 at H-T
Echoes of England v Poland back in 1973, in terms of chances and a so-called dodgy keeper having a blinder ...

I cannot put into words how much I hate Jonathan Pearce.
Kirby has been awful and the creep has never stopped praising her. Even telling his buddy she should be in her list for PotM.
In truth our front four have been awful. The wingers can’t get a cross in and they have had so many opportunities and Taylor has been in hiding behind the CH.
Thankfully it looks like the one instance when 3 of them got it all right is going to win the game.

Scott gets PotM. I had it between her, Bronze or Greenwood.
Re: England v Argentina ....
No idea why the argentine playmaker was pulled. She looked so much more comfortable on the ball than the other 21. The argues were a bit burnleyesque, I thought. Starting with Heaton at the back making the penalty save and shouting at the defence.
Re: England v Argentina ....
It was a fabulous winning goal and the cross from Beth Mead was sublime. Mead didn't have a great game but she kept trying to beat her oppo and I like that. JIll Scott was my POTM but should really have scored.

Mead was the best player on the pitch.

Re: England v Argentina ....
Hard-fought victory for England, but that showing won't be causing the French or USA camps to lose any sleep, sloppy passing again which against the better sides will be punished.
It was telling the goal came from Argentina over-committing players forward and being caught on the break,by and large their defence was solid, but that one moment of quality just got England over the line.
Japan is a big match now it's vital we win the group and ensure an easier route to the latter stages, the group winners will face one of the 3rd placed qualifiers, the runner's up will probably line up against Canada or Holland, both capable of providing a shock.

Bet it takes Greenwood hours to get ready before a game.Tricky Trevor wrote:Scott gets PotM. I had it between her, Bronze or Greenwood.
