Diego Maradona documentary

Post by JohnDearyMe » Sat Jun 15, 2019 9:19 pm

Anyone else seen this yet? Made by the same people who did the one about Ayrton Senna.

Very interesting watch. Provides a good insight into how passionate they are about their football in Naples. Makes you appreciate more just how hairy it must have been for the Burnley game in the 60s

I’ve watched it. Always knew he was the the greatest player in the world. I felt a bit sorry for him to be fair at the end though.

Yes i never appreciated just how his career unravelled at the end, very sad. Must have been very suffocating living in that environment

I'd sooner watch an episode of Eastenders whilst having all my teeth pulled out, than watch anything with that little Argie turd in it.

The environment made me understand the choices he made. He made some very, very ropey friends, but in a way he didn’t have much choice. Then the Neapolitans chewed him up and spat him out.

Incredible talent. Incredible life. Love Maradonna.

From the same mould as gazza and Mike Tyson.

Whilst undoubtedly an amazing footballer, I wouldn’t beat him with a shovel if he was on fire.
