Lee Bowyer gone at Charlton
Couldn’t reach agreement over a contract extension after guiding them to promotion.

The reality of what Charlton actually offered - @MattHughesTimes

ignoring the Lampard salary (from a Charlton perspective) - that is still likely to be well below the median at that level

Re: Lee Bowyer gone at Charlton
I believe he hasn't left yet, no word from Charlton that they'll change the offer, but they say Bowyer can change his mind between now and his contract expiring and the offer remains on the table.

No fan of the owner but that sounds sensible to me.
Bowyer should have no problem finding work, his stock is on the rise.

Soon as tax etc comes off, it's barely worth getting out of bed for.

When I first started work, people wouldn't get out of bed for £10 a week.MACCA wrote:Ppfftt only 4k a week, are they taking the p1ss?

Re: Lee Bowyer gone at Charlton
He was offered a 12 month contract at a salary of £200k per annum. A wonderful salary to the vast majority on here I grant you, but in a footballing context it’s never likely to secure the services of a manager at Championship level.
It all seems to have been sorted now it appears.......

So about £1867500 after tax and NI plus bonuses after tax and NI.Chester Perry wrote:last I recall was £3.5m plus bonuses
Not paying enough tax is he, although he should have a good accountant to deal with some of that
Re: Lee Bowyer gone at Charlton
Ok wage that, and come to think of it I'd take a hit on my wages to manage Burnley.mdd2 wrote:So about £1867500 after tax and NI plus bonuses after tax and NI.

Re: Lee Bowyer gone at Charlton
Quote from the owner Roland Duchatelet, the very man who has all but destroyed the club.
“What Lee has achieved in his short time at the club is very impressive. He has united the club once again.
