Nigeria v France. Women’s footy.
Nigeria v France. Women’s footy.
Two reasonable sides but the Nigerians have been “simulating” a few injuries.

Those pesky Nigerians! I'm still waiting for my 10 million pound bank transfer from my long lost Nigerian cousin, I sent him all my details over a month ago.

That’ll be a scam, Pimlico!
I have a girlfriend over there. Just sent her 2 grand so she can come to England.

Wow. VAR got it right!
Clear penalty missed by the ref.

Re: Nigeria v France. Women’s footy.
Oh dear. And a miss by the French lass as well
Re: Nigeria v France. Women’s footy.
Oh how cruel. Ref says the goalie moved. Take again

She scores this time
Re: Nigeria v France. Women’s footy.
Well, from the time of the foul to the penalty being scored must have been 10 minutes or more. Not sure VAR is going to be all that popular

The new rule is that the keeper must have at least one foot on the lineClaret wrote:Oh how cruel. Ref says the goalie moved. Take again
when the ball is struck.
The thing is that the keeper didn't save it, the penalty taker hit the outside of the post.
The keeper had no influence on the outcome of the penalty - seems a bit unfair.

Re: Nigeria v France. Women’s footy.
France have had the benefit of three VAR decisions which were not picked-up by the match officials. The two tonight - although penalty award was correct - and the even worse one against Norway where the French striker went in two-footed and still got the penalty even though it didn't even warrant a referral.
As a result France win the group and avoid a tricky looking last 16 game v possibly Brazil/Italy.
There seems to be an element of desperation about the hosts getting as far as possible - could end up like South Korea's ludicrous passage to the semis in 2002 (men's game).

They won the World Cup from a laughable handball decision against Croatia, it's all rigged imoEarbyClaret wrote:France have had the benefit of three VAR decisions which were not picked-up by the match officials. Re: Nigeria v France. Women’s footy.
It isn't just slowing it down it is ruining the game. Not much is black and white in football except goal line technology. The rest is purely down to opinions of those officiating on the field of play and those watching a TV screen off the field. As I said, it is like a committee meeting!Steve1956 wrote:I know mate but it dosent half slow the game down.

Maybe after one season of VAR ...they might bin it,goal line technology is brilliant, four blokes watching a tele and trying to agree it wasn't a handball/offside isn't,it will ruin the game we all love.Ashingtonclaret46 wrote:It isn't just slowing it down it is ruining the game.
