Accrington Friendly
Accrington seem to have moved on from playing us pre season.
They’ve got one vs Marseille this time.
Quite a coup for them.
At Salford’s Rugby League ground strangely.

Stanley have just had their pitch relaid, so it wouldn't be at their place, but not sure why its being played at a rugby ground.Bordeauxclaret wrote:

Re: Accrington Friendly
Andy Holt mentioned yesterday they were looking for a suitable ground that was big enough for them to use.
Surprised they couldn’t find one closer than Salford
(Is that the one by the Trafford Centre?)

Re: Accrington Friendly
I did wonder why it wasn’t at their own place.
Re: Accrington Friendly
That's the one, you get a good view going north over Barton bridge . Think it's called the AJ Bell stadium.wilks_bfc wrote:Andy Holt mentioned yesterday they were looking for a suitable ground that was big enough for them to use.

Re: Accrington Friendly
It holds 12000 which is double what Accy holds but would enough travel that far to make it worthwhile?
It would be like us using Old Trafford to play against Athletico

I was at the AJ Bell stadium last year, watching Simple Minds in concert. It’s a decent ground. Easy to get to, now they built the new bridge over the Ship Canal.
