I must admit that I am not sure whether we are playing new Laws or old Laws in this competition.
New laws

So Abraham must not have realised this with all his moaning.
The ref made the correct decision in giving the ball to France, in fact, I thought that the officials were almost 100% in this match, including the handball penalty decision which, although I do not like the interpretation, has been in use in most of Europe now for a couple of years.

Safe refereeing. Move abraham away before dropping the ball. Saves the arguments lol
Didnt see hand ball only watched second half.
Red card very surprised he disnt go red immediately it was horrendous and personally very surprised when he went pen / yellow. VAR working well on this occasion.

Referee made the big mistake by assuming that a player (Abraham) in this case knew the Laws ----never assume that -----not many players have any idea! :D

In this change over period it is difficult.
You are quite correct in your early post about the handball. Players are going to have to learn to jump with their hands down. It’s just a technical adjustment.
It is difficult for some to accept but I’d rather have it this way than players stopping goalbound shots and pens not given as it was deemed accidental. As with all things in football it will probably balance out.

Out already.

We have some semi-decent players, but Foden is much much better than all of them. He's bound to be in the next England squad for the games in September.

Boothroyd’s job as head coach cannot be allowed to survive this.

He’s just signed a new deal but you have to wonder how he got the job in the first place.

I would like to see much fewer penalties given. I think you should have to properly create a goal by getting the better of the opposition's defence. Now it seems you can get a goal just through a bit of luck if the ball hits an arm, without the team having done anything to properly create a goal.

Look at that one Brighton got against us last season. Of course, Murray cheated to get it, but even so he was on the edge of the box facing away from goal. No chance had been created by good play but he just got a bit of luck, in that case by kicking his leg back and then throwing himself down. I really hate the idea that teams are going to get goals just from a bad cross that happens to hit a defender's arm.

That's when happens when you have a Dyche like manager in charge of the national set up.

Has he? Deary me. If this is a new generation of talent then it needs to be talented from the top down.

Thought you could see which players were playing regularly at a reasonable level for their clubs...... the rest were just match-naive

This is a management issue. Not the players.

1-0 up with 10 men against France, Boothroyd throws two strikers on. Probably saw himself as some sort of master tactician doing that. Phil Foden scores and puts in a performance? Dropped next game. Boothroyd treated this tournament like a bunch of friendlies, experimental decisions instead of basic common sense.

Players with zero record in the Premier League like Reiss Nelson given a free pass whilst, call me biased, McNeil who has actually established himself as a starter and performer is in the U20s.

He has to go.

The goalkeeper played 40+ games last year with a promoted Championship club and made a comical error, kind of destroys your point.

Not really, he's been one of the better ones, particularly against France & the goalkeeper can't do much in the way of game management apart from wasting a bit of time when necessary. The outfield players made countless errors leading to goal chances, which is what I was referring to.

There are other top flight leagues out there. Reis's Nelson's stats are pretty comparable to McNeil's this season.

Bundesliga just isn’t on the same level it used to be sadly. Nelson was still mostly used as a substitute for Hoffenheim.

Aidy Boothroyd has one thing right he's not going anywhere https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48726028.

What on earth has he achieved to be awarded a contract extension
