The club have announced there will be a new site for the club shop online sales. Part of the announcement reads: "Please note that due to the time of year there is very little football related stock on the website, as we clear out before the launch of 2019/2020 replica and training kits. However, make sure to visit the new store to see some fantastic ideas for last minute Fathers Day gifts, leisurewear and accessories."

Last minute Fathers Day gifts? Isn't it almost a year away?

Anyway it is

Looks a lot easier to use, to be fair.

Not sure I'd have gone live with a website with no stock on, to be fair. You'd also question why a leather iPhone case is under electronics and why mugs are under pet accessories.

You would think somebody might have said shall we release the new shirt and a new range of products at the same time as our new website

Or more sensibly, launch the new website while there is low stock and therefore low traffic so we can sort out any issues with the site before it has to cope with the rush caused by the new kit launch.

Looks awful and very cheap.

You would think in this day and age we would have a good website that runs smoothly.

That’s what I thought - seems strange launching it like that

The mugs are obviously a mistake, but where else would you expect to find iPhone cases? Every other major retailer in the world would sell them under electronics (check out Amazon for example).

Launching a new website on the same day you launch a product line you want to sell through that website is a recipe for disaster.

Well maybe, but it's not an uncommon thing to do these days. It would look even poorer if it crashed on the day of the kit launch.

Not if you are competent it isn't. If someone opened a clothes shop tomorrow and had a website you would expect to launch on the same day.

But how will they know it's not going to crash with the amount of traffic, if there's no reason to go to the site?

I'm talking about errors on the website that may cause it to crash that they will have the chance to iron out.

It could have been launched better and timing to tying it in with the new seasons attire, but the state this department was in was worse than a secondhand shop just a few years back.
Everything Burnley takes time to build as we have seen with training facilities to youth development to European scouting to getting signings over the line we doddle
But when it eventually all comes together its one place to be and this as been on going since the end of the 90s
Patients is a virtue or so we are lead to believe

Was expecting phone accessories, but maybe it’s too specific!

What’s going to happen to all the leftover Puma stock? Will it all get flogged off for cheap?

Given away to local junior clubs/schools would be a great gesture.

I suspect it is a limited test launch and not for ‘the general public’. Any glitches can then be reported back without adversely effecting sales.

Doesn't look like it was publicised on Twitter. Perhaps it's a very light test.

New shop or not, I bet the outrageous postage charges stay in place. I can get sent things from China for less than it costs to order something online from Burnley.
