Well that's a shock, the inquiry into Islamophobia that Johnson agreed to during his membership campaign now isn't happening. He's normally so good at keeping his word.

Fortunately Matt Hancock was there to explain that Baroness Warsi who was pushing for the inquiry didn't have a balanced view on the matter.

And in doing so confirmed Islamophobia is at the very top of the Cons party

Although Rowls is definitely not biased he seems much less keen updating this than the Labour party one. Unsurprisingly, given the lack of action in the past and Johnson's refusal to hold the inquiry that he agreed to, Islamophobia still seems to be an issue in Boris Johnson's Tory Party.

Happy to have this thread bumped whenever - that's the very reason why I created it.

I wasn't aware of any of these stories because they weren't the lead political story in the UK for two days. I don't go searching for these stories, I just highlight them when I become aware of them.

And yet the conservatives have more Asian heritage mps than labour and have more ministers of such heritage than Blair or brown ever did.

That's a weird comparison, now compared to 20 years ago. Plus you do realise that Asian heritage does not equal Muslim?

A year on from the Conservatives promise to hold an inquiry into Islamophobia in their party and how are things looking?
