Am I missing something obvious?

It looks like a zoomed in shot of some scrunched up paper

If looked at with one eye shut and squinting turned the picture upside down the piece of scrunched up paper looks abit, but not alot, like the face of the old woman in the rocking chair off the tv programme 'four feather falls' ....

It's a photograph of tin foil, looks like the Hampton Court ghost standing in the 'entrance' to a small church, with paranormal activity all around. I admit to being sozzled when I posted it, but the artwork and its title refers to the idea of 'seeing stuff in things' like the conspiracy theorist videos of aliens on the moon or strange shapes on Mars.

It looks like there's a figure in a graveyard to the left.

Pareidolia is the word for 'seeing stuff in stuff'.

Apophenia is the act of construing meaning from such stuff and seemingly random events, it can be a mental health condition.

I live not far from Hampton Court. I visit frequently. I've not met this lady.

However, my better half doesn't like to go in one of the rooms at HC. She says she always feels cold in that room - however warm it is outside - and has a sense that something isn't "quite right" there. I can't remember whether it's one of the rooms where one of the 6 wives of Henry VIII used. ;)

I can relate to that. It can be 30 degrees outside, humidity at 100%, and my wife will still put the ******* central heating on.

I've felt presences in rooms and felt scared. I won't go in Extwistle Hall for that reason.

See? The ghost in my pic. looks the same. The design around it could be tin foil, yeah.... Meanwhile down at Chelsea:

https://www.arts.ac.uk/whats-on/ma-cura ... -show-2019" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Of course my artwork is much more suggestive...

Incidentally, scientists are looking for aliens in small featureless squares joined together i.e. the pixel. Oh this black dot is a supernova etc.

Also, the Hadron Collider would have found them...

"If ghosts existed, then they would need to be made purely of energy, since by their very definition they can't be made of matter. But if they were made only of energy, they would quickly dissipate, because the second law of thermodynamics proposes that energy is always lost to heat.

The only way that they would be able to avoid that would be to have an incoming source of their own spooky energy. But there is nothing to account for that in the standard model of physics or anything we've seen in the particle accelerator."

Do you mean regular or frequent? I’m a regular churchgoer in that a I tend to go once in a blue moon, and I don’t believe in ghosts.

Cool story, bro.

But regular is still defined as often.

And now my next question - so you go to Church, do you believe in God, or a God?

Give him a break, you didn't ask if he was religious or not, just a churchgoer.

Yes, he does go regularly, he cleans the church twice a week.

I regularly attend Carol Services at the Unitarian in Tod, every Christmas. I do love a good sing-song. Just once a year. Not frequent, just regular.

Actually if you stare at interference on a TV screen (pre-digital anyway), lots of alien phenomena and all sorts start to appear out of the soup.

Come to think of it, Clint's brother looks a bit more like James Stewart.

In the original picture I can see a papal mitre in the bottom right and there is a standing mule half way up the right hand side. So, your image depicts a discarded nativity scene on Everest.
