Ribblesdale League 22/6/19

Post by Local cricketer » Sat Jun 22, 2019 8:31 pm

At a loose end today so after seeing negative things spoken about Read cc on here and Twitter I decided to venture down for the game with Barnoldswick.

Great club very hospitable people and a decent game to which Read managed to win

Not the time to visit Padiham today.

Cherry Tree all out for 46 and Padiham got them 5 down after losing two wickets for no runs.

Lovely day for cricket though and we play the old enemy Read tomorrow.

They might say that from the safety of their little village.
Not many will travel to the home of cricket though.

Come on the thicknecks.

Quickenthetempo doesn't think Padiham are good enough at the moment for a full season but would beat Colne in a one off game.

The tea room produces the best pies in Lancashire so basically the world.

Pass my regards on to Shahbaz Lenny.

Good man will take you up on the offer. Next home game on Saturday and il be there providing it doesn't clash with a Burnley game

Quite a few up today Lenny for a short game.

Sorry for being nice to a fellow cricket fan.

The offer is there for you as well Lenny. But I don't want you to miss out on these good times at Colne.

In a 24 point weekend Padiham's pro Jack Dewhurst had combined bowling figures of 12 for 60 with an 8 for against local rivals Read. He was run out early on Saturday in bizarre fashion before making 54 no yesterday.

As local lads go Jack is a very good pro. With the added bonus of being available for every game.
