Huawei

Post by cricketfieldclarets » Sat Jun 22, 2019 10:25 pm

Yes I know. Shouldve known better but....

Bought a Huawei MateBook 2 weeks ago. Battery ran out yesterday while it was not plugged in. Since then will not power on whatsoever just flashes dead battery sign.

Obviously its backed up all my pictures and videos of my daughter - the reason I bought it was to back up and make into family videos / compilations. Many now deleted from phone and not yet backed up to cloud or external drive.

Anyone know a way of accessing them from the laptop without voiding the warranty? I don't want to send it back to be repaired and run the risk of losing them completely. Don't believe the battery is replaceable without voiding either?

Take it to the professionals, they will get everything back for you.

I believe Huawei have been recalling phones.

But that may void my warranty?

If they are only retrieving data/ piccys etc, provided they clear all trace as well, then I wouldn't
have thought that there would be a problem tbh. You can ask the people you take it to for their
opinion.

Thanks. TBH I could probably do that myself mind.

Suspect its just a faulty battery (keys light up and screen does). Unsure if any stores I could take it to (like with Apple etc). I didn't buy direct.

Send a nice letter to the Chinese Politburo. They have it all downloaded onto their servers.

I've had a Huawei since December. Best phone I've ever had. No complaints whatsoever. Battery lasts forever as long as you shut down anything running in the background that you've recently looked at. I would never buy a mobile indirectly as you need a point of contact initially if it's not working as it should.
