Norwich away

I've just realised that with the May Day bank holiday being moved next summer to commemorate VE day our last away game down at Norwich falls on a bank holiday weekend, with Friday 8th being a holiday now. Could be a nice little weekend on the beer down in Great Yarmouth 8-)

What's the allocation like at Narch? Never been but had ito. My liste before the fixtures came out.

In the past we've never taken many. With them being in the Prem and generally well supported they'll want as many tickets as possible for their own fans next year. They'll have to offer us a decent allocation due to Premier league rules but whether we take the full allocation or not is another matter.

It’s going to be around 2,500 given the size of the ground.

Just as long as SKY leave it alone. Could be a massive relegation 6 pointer! Or to look on the positive side could be the day we clinch 7th spot and another European campaign

Hopefully we wont sell ourselves short. Maybe even put out an early interest type email/form. Dont want to be taking 1k and the demand be extremely high.
Great city , bank hol, good weather and last away game, and could be a pivotal game should see decent interest in it.

As a Norwich resident I strongly recommend avoiding Great Yarmouth! :-D

Exactly. Even if we're mid table with nothing to really play for I could see us taking a decent following down there, for all the reasons you've mentioned. If we take a tiny allocation would be lots of dissapointed people I think.

Why's that? Was thinking of maybe staying there and getting the train to Norwich for the game. I assume because it's become a bit rundown like a lot of seaside resorts?

Might be worth looking at getting a caravan for the weekend, lots of sites down that way.

We are going in a tractor. Then it will be our turn to hold everyone else up on the way.

If you like Blackpool you’ll like Yarmouth. It’s a bit tacky and run down and there are much nicer places on the Norfolk coast. The beach is nice though.

If you’re up for a weekend on the beer, you’re better off staying in Norwich. It’s a great night out.

Naaarch is indeed a great night out. Loads o pubs in the Prince of Wales road area and there's
a complex called the Riverside ( or something like that) which is like the Printworks in Manny.

Done it as an away weekend a couple of times now, very friendly place, I've always found.

I once parked in a multi story at a shopping complex and later spent about 2 hours trudging around looking for the car.

There is more than one that looks the same

As a couple of others have said, forget Yarmouth and stay in Norwich if it’s a decent weekend on the pop that you’re after.

spades - All your birthdays have come at once. Flights have been sorted for the Friday night from Manchester and the hotel at the airport as per the last time that Norwich could be bothered to be in the PL.

We will be round for tea and biscuits on Saturday morning if your offer is still open.

We plan to bomb the A47 as we fly over on the way home on Sunday night (avoiding cars or tractors) so it can be rebuilt causing investment into the Norfolk industry.

Couldn't agree more Peacey, why anyone would choose to stay in Great Yarmouth over Norwich, one of the best drinking cities in England, is beyond me.

Those flights might be a mistake if the game is moved to Friday night

Don't even go there!

Who would want to watch this game other than me and you on a Friday night?

It may have boiled by May spades though knowing Norfolk kettles there is no telling if it works as quick as the tractors?

Just got Dan this time and his mum. You were the first person to meet him once we fostered him.

Poor soul. Him not you.

The last time I met Dan he was 5, cuddly and lovable. There will be a great change although I guess he is still lovable - can't see that changing.

I'm sure by now he will have got over the shock of meeting me. Are you sure you want to put him through it again?

Norwich always been known for a different pub for everyday of the year and a church for every week of the year.

A fantastic city for the discerning beer drinker.

Lived here for over 30 years

An exiled Claret.

Always thought Plough Lane would be a good ground to go to by tractor!
