Isn't it down to the player, or some committee, to organise it and not the club?

He was. The club granted it but they are not permitted to get involved with it. That’s up to him and his testimonial committee.

Didn't Brian Jensen have a bit of bother with a testimonial or something?

Always seemed a pleasant bloke, and despite the “WALLY!” Moments both on and off the pitch was a good servant to the club.

He had a committee to run the testimonial year and they didn't come up with a game for him. The club cannot be involved otherwise there are tax issues for him.

His 'eye for detail' meant he sometimes forgot where the penalty area was (Luton).
