Died with a cancer but hardly anyone knew because Eric Morecambe died just a few hours later

It was a new format in the seventies...remember the summer of 76 he read the news with that alistair chap?? Burnet. Taken me all this time to realise how grim the news really is....seemed different way back when!

I thought mother Theresa died a good few years after Diana Dors? Now "St Theresa"

Random - but interesting fact. (remebered it from my school days)
His father Bernard was an England cricketer and is credited with having "invented" the googly, hence its other name the "Bosie" (or "Bosey")

Reggie used to have a couple of bottles of red with lunch play tennis in the afternoon , roger Anna Ford ,then cool as beans read the evening news . A true man of the 70’s

Just picked up a book about him but not started it yet.

He certainly was a laugh when reading some of his bulletins as I remember :D
