Yes. I was just making the point that however it's structured it won't necessarily stop the club being screwed.

A more realistic proposition if they wanted to move money out of Chelsea would be to start with management fees, etc.

Wasn't sure where to post this, but here seemed as good a place as any,so much for a transfer ban.

I know he was already registered, but it still flies in the face of an embargo.

I would have thought if there was any better offers in the UK or Europe he would take it, but I can see the point of China massive payday and not the same stressful environments I would think.

Good news for the other top 6 clubs and good news for the others in with a chance of pinching a top 6 place.

2 novice managers in top 6 teams.

No. He's now Chelsea's Frank Lampard again.

It seems the loophole is that the contract was already in place pre-embargo: On loan last season with the option to buy.

They had his registration already. It’s the same if you have a bid accepted in March. Everything can go through apart from registering the player.

Am i the only one interested, nay excited by this? A new regime with at a big club, English managers with a brief to improve and coach the existing squad, and circumstances meaning they just might get time to do so?

They are hardly our rivals bar 2 games a season, so im quite looking forward to seeing how it all works out

I'm wondering who'll get the bullet first, Lamps or OGS.
Suppose FL will get more time, surely they won't expect miracles straight away?

No chairman or fans expect miracles straight away, but after 10 games or so you are in your right to expect some sort of potential for success .
If theres mo signs of potential success by then they deserve the sack.

Agree with Hibsclaret re vacancies in the top six. But I just can't see who is likely to challenge them, everybody else were miles behind last season. Somebody will have to improve a hell of a lot to close the gap. Got to agree with Electro' also, I'll be surprised if OGS lasts the season.
