Much better! The previous 3ft windows in the rain were actually quite comical

Doesn't leave much covered queuing room, does it? Is a canopy of some sorts to be added outside?

Will it have airport style queuing barriers on match days as it looks a bit narrow?

Looks just like the old ticket office we had up until a year or two ago.

Is this the one that was on Harry Potts Way that had a ramp up to it, is it that they've re vamped, if so wasn't that just a collection point,so where was the actual ticket office then. I know there was an area round the back of the club shop, was that it? Haven't used them for years so hadn't taken much notice.

Not many I wouldn't have thought and pre-purchased tickets are collected elswehere. There are usually a few queuing outside though.

Don't most people buy tickets on-line these days anyway?

So what’s happened/happening to the ticket office at the back of the club shop then?

When given the option, aye ;)

Given the club's recent record on people having to do seat swaps etc in person, i was wondering

Could well be the collection point, or perhaps superseded by the building works for that corner stand. Guess we'll see in 2020 ;)

Always thought it was an odd situation.
Was in the club shop during pre-season last year and there was a guy at the till next to me buying a shirt and also asked for a matchday ticket.
The lad serving him said he had to go around to the "ticket windows", which the guy did..........to be served by the same lad :?

That closed down so they could start work around the back, and that's over a year ago. The intention was to return the ticket office there with an enclosed queuing area. I'm assuming that it wasn't suitable and so they've revamped the ticket office where it has had two spells in recent years. It will be there now permanently.

Always better for me when it is separate from the club shop.

I can understand why but its a great opportunity to get people in the club shop to see what else is on offer. Come to think of it I cant think of any other club that has both together

The previous ticket office was adequate for 99% of the time but struggled during busy periods like the hour or so before kick off on matchdays and cup games/play offs.

One of the major issues was the lack of cover for the majority of the queue during inclement weather, although i haven't seen the new ticket office in person i can't see anything has changed other than a marginally bigger interior and a new counter.

Well worth the wait.

I wasn't comparing it to monsoon corner behind the new club store but the original ticket office that had fans queuing in the rain at peak periods like matchdays.

In the few years since they knocked that one down I would think there are a lot fewer people who actually queue on a match day. Something worth monitoring.

Cheers Frank, I appreciate that but CT's opening post just says Image and Image (no piccys)

I've checked my settings and all are ok, and in fact the artists impression of the original
proposal (post 21) is displayed fine, no problem.

Anyone offer a possible explanation as to why I can't see anything in post 1 please ?

The images in the first post are on twitter.

You're probably either on a work machine that blocks twitter or have security settings or a browser add-in that blocks them.

Thanks for the info Bosscat and aggi, but I can't say that I understand or know what to do to
remedy the situation. I know it's not life threatening but I just wondered what was wrong.

I've not had any problems before in viewing other material from twitter. I have checked my
security settings and my browser add-ons and all seems fine, but I'm not entirely sure what
I'm looking at/for.

It's gonna be quicker to go down there and take a look at it in the flesh !!!

So we'll still have to queue up right up round the Cricket Club for tickets when we get to the 2020/21 Champions League final.

Pathetic!

Why can't we be more like Brighton?

It seems that if the images are uploaded (saved to computer then uploaded to the board), they are visible, put if the images are simply linked to a location, using the Img button at the top of the message window, they don't show for everybody. I only realised when I was displaying the starting lineup on match days and some people couldn't view it, from then on, I made sure I physically uploaded them using the attachments > 'add files' option.

When are the new season tickets on sale?

Sure they said 1st July a few weeks ago.
Article on official site from yesterday shows the 6th July.
The Ticket Page says back on Sale 1st July but no season tickets are available?

They definitely announced 1st July on the club website. I've just checked with them and it is definitely 6th when they go on sale.

I know it could have happened, but would anyone really take a day off work to get a season ticket?

I know it did because a mate arranged to go into work later as he was calling in on the way.

I know its only 1 (that we know off) but the initial comms did say 1st July. If it was incorrect, then fair enough but I don't think anything obvious has come out stating the correction

The bigger problem is, things like this really don't shock me anymore.
I'd check, check and check again if I was relying on any information at all where it could effect my plans.

Communication and meeting deadlines etc haven't been great for a number of years now
