Re: France v USA
Are rules different in the woman’s game? Is diving not a free kick and a yellow card?
Or is it just more inept refereeing that this tournament has been full of.

It might sound like a schoolgirl hockey match but the players are responding to the crowd atmosphere.

I hope USA win as think USA vs England will be decent game and border on entertaining. USA will likely beat us but even so.

I'm surprised how much i've enjoyed some of these games. Standard better than I thought it would be. Although I reckon if a team really concentrated on learning to head the ball properly they could do some real damage from corners and free kicks.

Re: France v USA
You know how people have said how refreshing it is to see players not diving or feigning injury during this tournament?
Well this game has undone all that

Re: France v USA
It's a different game because it's still based around players who are good at football irrespective of their size and you can see what decent coaching is doing in terms of the shape and setup of the teams. Once there's a bit of money in the game and proper athletes start playing, it will completely change though. Imagine if the Williams Sisters had gone for football rather than tennis...they'd walk through these defences. The first female player that comes through with decent pace, height and power will be a superstar.

Enjoyed that. Some competitive football. My better half said, "they are playing quite aggressively." "Yes, its good to see they are competing and show they want to win" I replied.

Re: France v USA
We've certainly got our hands full on Tuesday. They are so much better at retaining and passing the ball than we are.
I think that we can have plenty of joy at set pieces though.
We have to beat the horrible septic's.
