I could go the rest of my life not hearing that word again, some dark times working in that godforsaken hellhole of a warehouse. Glad those nights are long behind me.

Think clubs need to be looking at these naming rights as a extra revenue. Burnley and Lowerhouse leading the way

“We don’t like all this influx of foreign businesses and moneymen in sport”

Local business sponsors local sport

“Oh no, that’s horrid”

Boohoo?

Sounds like BCC 8pm, 5th August 2018 ;)

Good business though - great idea with the naming rights.

I think the Boundary Mill Horsfield sounds better than the Boohoo.com Turf Moor

I was in a committee meeting when we had a proposal of a very lucrative ground sponsorship deal. I voted against but the room was split.
The company decided to go into sponsorship at a much higher level.

The Arbories is a memorial ground and should be respected in such a way.

Accrington have also got sponsors naming their ground. No longer Thorneyholme Road (although of course it is)..it is now The PropertyShop Arena.

I've been on Accy's ground many times, not in any way could you call it an arena. :D

You can bet the signage will be such that visiting fans will believe it is the football club - there has been a lot of hoohaa about this kind of marketing lately - I hope the football club are keeping a close eye on it

Don’t they have a couple of ads in the BFC programme?

Colne could try for sponsorship from one of the local supermarkets plugging one of their favourite lines.

"The Tesco Burgers Horsfield" has quite a ring to it.

I think the football club would struggle if it came down to any sort of argument, because the cricket club had the name Turf Moor before the football club existed.
