Obviously remembered for that goal at Ewood but he did a very decent job for us and was a reliable member of Steve C’s first Burnley side.

I recall him scoring on his debut in a 1-1 draw against Sheffield United, with Andy Gray getting the goal for the Blades.

Possibly my favourite ever goal. The first I'd ever seen us score against that lot and our team back then just didn't score goals, especially away from home against a Premier League team with one of the league's best keepers. Then Hyde did that! My throat was sore for days, what a moment.

Theres also an NFL player called Micah Hyde. Today’s Micah Hyde fact was brought to you by Jean-Louis Valois Trivia inc.

Ps - my most vivid memory of Hyde is the equaliser he scored at Ewood in the FA Cup replay, as the snow came down on us.........

Very stylish player, and on his day could be Premier class.
