Manufactured inclusion
Noticed a growing trend of major corporations recently changing their online and in some cases physical logo the rainbow flag.
Just seen an even more subtle, subliminal message though with the traffic lights at Trafalgar Square. Gone is the sexist, homophobic red and green man. Replaced with the gay and lesbian symbols
Whatever next? The lollipop trans?

I remember a few years back getting the train on Valentine's day - to "Waterlove...."
It's nice to see a bit of inclusiveness and love for all!

I have no dog in this (soon to become a) fight, but the birth of something doesn't also mean the reincarnation of another. I don't think.
Maybe it does in the jewish community. Who knows? Not me.

Re: Manufactured inclusion
They've been doing this for a few years now.
I think they have different ones each year, like a pair of green men etc.
I think it's a good idea tbh.

They should change those traffic light signals to a lovely picture of Joe Hart smiling.

I don't think they've been up all month, they go up for the Pride parade which is this weekend and will center around... Trafalgar square.
Here's a stock photo I took in 2016 encouraging love in general, disgusting.

Re: Manufactured inclusion
Working previously for Barnardos we had a black worker support group were all non white staff got to go on days out and had meetings.
I suggested a white worker support group too and was called a racist.

Hey. Maybe in response to their day out together in meetings (funny "day out", but ok) teaching them how to cope with racism, you could have asked for a day out where you got taught how to not be a racist. I'm not saying you're a racist, of course, but if you think it's a day out to have to sit in meetings then surely it's something you'd have enjoyed. And you'd have looked really progressive to your boss too.

Re: Manufactured inclusion
I was in Canary Wharf for work yesterday. The pelican crossings I saw had got additional rainbow stripped markings. There was also a flight of steps up from the river boat landing that were decorated with rainbow colours. It all looked like a great place to be.
But, nothing "manufactured" about diversity and inclusion in CW, every race, every religion, every sexual identity all work and live very happily together. I'm sure it's one of the reasons why London is so successful.
I'm looking forward to when the Northern Powerhouse is the same, and is inclusive all the way out as far as north east Lancs and beyond.
I'm a "Proud Northern."
Have a great day, everyone.

It's basically a race between China and America over who can have a holocaust first. China are probably winning, but America is giving it a real good effort.
