Scouting Over Seas Set Up

Post by Longside4evr » Thu Jul 04, 2019 6:56 pm

Just reading on another thread and there seems that a lot of our support would like more activity done in the over seas market I am all for it
if the Club got this area right it could eventually pay dividends.

How long would it take to set up a system like that.

How much in annual cost more less would a product like that be to be part of the clubs running costs.

how many scouts and no dib dib dob jokes please

And really with a wage structure would it be to target first team players or development type players would a young player be willing to come to East Lancashire.

When it comes to setting up a European scouting network I assume you’d have to build it up nation by nation?

Appoint a network of scouts in competitive leagues that produce players that can compete in the prem and that we can attract with our finances. The Dutch league and Belgium would probably be good places to start?

No, but the club is in charge of Barnfield, as indeed they are of recruitment.

That's the link. :o
