George Boyd.

Post by fatboy47 » Fri Jul 05, 2019 9:06 pm

Am I the only one to think it may be a good move to get another season (or even 2) out of George?...

Been released by the owls who probably cant afford a new contract for him...could be just what we need to cover either wing.

No stupid transfer to pay...probably realistic wages...genuine runner and grafter in the Dyche mould...knows where the onion bag is...plenty of prem experience and knows how Dyche rolls...genuine good egg in the dressing room...doesnt spend half the season on the treatment bench...

Makes more sense to me than throwing brewsters at unpronounceable foreign cack that can barely be arsed to get out of bed.

He could have been useful, up until now, however, he must turn himself back into the white Pele, to finish his career, at a lower level.

He did us proud.

Had he not been moved out, no doubt I’d be happy getting another year... but it would not only send out all the wrong messages about our ambitions, we are looking to move on having previously decided he was dispensable. But it may well put off potential targets who see no ambition being shown.

Has he still got long hair? If so, it's a no from me.

He was spotted with another ex-Claret recently in Las Vegas. I heard he might be going back to Peterborough on his return.

Boydy was excellent for us, playing to the limit of his talent at Championship and then Premier League level. If he’s up for it, he could end his career spending a few seasons ripping the Lower Leagues apart.
