Not a bad midfielder in his time.
And the manager when Chelsea won the Champions League.

From the bits I’ve heard was delighted to be asked. Stayed in Bolton over a couple of days for the shoot.Steve1956 wrote:Skint, just seen him advertising Warburton's crumpets, then Kia cars....he might be dying though and having one last hooray at adverts...strange one.
...and far from it. I wouldn't mind being a few hundred thousand behind him.

He's doing a bit of pre-season training with the lads. Nothing in it, just keeping a bit fit

I was thinking about this the other day and he probably gets a couple hundred grand for a days work. Would you not do it?

Money-grubbing no- mark....third rate bungler on the screen...with a face like a stale turd......i missed my way.
Re: Is Robert De Niro
It’s not really convincing though that he buys Kia Cars or eats crumpets himself. I think you should endorse only what you believe in. That drip Philip Schofield encouraging people to get 60% of a cars true value through We Buy Any Car .com is the most annoying.
Re: Is Robert De Niro
Probably why they get him to do that advert. People remember it because it is annoying!Blackrod wrote:That drip Philip Schofield encouraging people to get 60% of a cars true value through We Buy Any Car .com is the most annoying.

May be that house prices in Canada are so expensive, because was he not one of the thousands of Hollywood superstars who promised they were migrating to Canada out of Trump's National Socialist regime if he became President?

Re: Is Robert De Niro
De Niro has made some of the greatest films and shown himself to be a stupendous actor but he has made so much utter dross as well, particularly in recent years....the Fokkers films and other aberrations like Last Vegas and Dirty Grandpa for instance. Sad really. All we need now is to see Joe Pesci or Al Pacino peddling low-fat butter-substitute, shampoo or some such.

most of his business these days is producing and this is part of his pitch towards his company that produces broad comedy.

Re: Is Robert De Niro
Well then I have some good news for you! Martin Scorsese's next film 'The Irishman' comes out later this year. It's got Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, and Harvey Keitel. The screenwriter, Steven Zaillian, also wrote the screenplay for Schindlers List, Mission: Impossible, Gangs of New York, American Gangster, Moneyball, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and the TV mini series, The Night Of. I wouldn't be a film fan if I wasn't exited for that! Netflix financed, but it has apparently got an old-fashioned proper theatrical release shortly followed by a Netflix release.Stalbansclaret wrote:De Niro has made some of the greatest films and shown himself to be a stupendous actor but he has made so much utter dross as well, particularly in recent years....the Fokkers films and other aberrations like Last Vegas and Dirty Grandpa for instance. I prefer to remember the RDN of the 1970s. Two of the greatest performances of all time in "Taxi Driver" and "The Deerhunter".
