Re: ICC World Cup Cricket
Sri Lanka did well to get that total after being about 50-4 at one stage.
Regardless of the results today we will be at Edgbaston on Thursday against who is still to be decided.

Predictor has it at a 90% chance South Africa will win, if so it will be New Zealand v India at Old Trafford on Tuesday and England v Australia at Edgbaston on Thursday in the semi finals.

With regards to David Warner, I wonder if he'll ever be forgiven by the cricketing public, or forever booed?

It’s the Aussies for us in the semi-final. They’ve lost by 10 runs against South Africa.

this defeat means they will now have to face England at Edgbaston - where they have not won a match in any format of the game since 2001.

I dont think so as he didn't show much remorse, he just looked upset that he got caught.Spijed wrote:With regards to David Warner, I wonder if he'll ever be forgiven by the cricketing public, or forever booed?

Glad we're playing them at Edgbaston and not Lords, the atmosphere should be more intense, less of the prawn sandwich brigade.Longside4evr wrote:this defeat means they will now have to face England at Edgbaston - where they have not won a match in any format of the game since 2001.
Hope England make the environment hostile,i also note the Aussies have fitness issues over Khawaja,Starc and Stonis.
In the last couple of matches England have rediscovered their mojo, but the toss will be vital,India's chase today was one of the few to succeed.

Re: ICC World Cup Cricket
For those feeling sorry for the potential reception that Warner and others may get, imagine what the response would be at the SCG, WACA, or the MCG, if the boot was on the other foot !!

Exactly! let's not pretend the convicts are shrinking violets, they give it out enough, time they had some good old-fashioned English hospitality.Clarets4me wrote:For those feeling sorry for the potential reception that Warner and others may get, imagine what the response would be at the SCG, WACA, or the MCG, if the boot was on the other foot !!
Either way the Aussies will have to ring the changes,Khawaja is definitely out of the tournament, and Stonis is a doubt.
Matthew Wade will replace Khawaja, and Mitchell Marsh has been called up as cover for Stonis.
This is the 1st time they've had to change a settled team, could affect them in a negative way.
