Born in Rossendale, one of the last to be born in the general hospital, I'm lead to believe.

I had an argument with a Burnley fan once. It went like this - hypothetically, if Burnley Football Club moved to a stadium outside the town, it wouldn't bother me. In fact, if the club moved into Rawtenstall, that'll be great for me. He didn't understand my point. I explained to him that have no interest in Burnley - as a town and I only really travel to Burnley to visit the stadium. Apparently I'm not a proper fan then.

Although you could argue that the club represents the town as a status. As a point on the map.
