Vale/Crewe Teams

Post by PremierLeagueClass » Wed Jul 10, 2019 9:50 am

Given one of these games will likely feature Jays return, does anyone know how far in advance the club confirm which players are going where? I can’t remember from previous seasons... is it just announced on the day?

I’d imagine Westwood will go to Crewe given it’s his home club.

We can all hang around that factory outlet just off the A500 and then go west or east as suits.

Fair enough. You’d think they’ll at least specify where Jay will be heading beforehand. I know it’s not real a debut but it would still be a nice moment.

Maybe he can play one half at Crewe and the other at Port Vale! ;)

Why is Jay more important than any other player?

In a game that is merely a fitness exercise, it would just be a bonus to see one of our own back in a Burnley shirt for the first (second) time.

With the grounds being close you would think kick offs would of been staggered to allow fans and staff chance to watch both games.

I don't suppose Crewe and Vale get a say in this given they are hosting both games?

Of course they would, and they would probably jump at the chance to earn an extra 5-10k

They do but they also risk losing the opportunity to have a home game against a Premier League club so basically we can dictate.
