I genuinely didn't realise that eating fish and chips before Friday was considered such a scandal. I shall have to start doing it more often.

I had an unscheduled chippy trip on Monday lunchtime. As penance for my sins, I insisted we had a regulation chippy tea tonight.

All is good. I start at WeightWatchers on Monday..... :-)

There are four chippies within easy driving distance of home. For three of them, you need a slide rule to calculate which day or lunch/ evening sessions they are open. I go to the fourth one, the furthest, which is always open.

Battered sausage and chips? Or do you eat only meat?

Yep, it is, there was a sign up last Saturday saying so.

Tell me about. I’m a stickler for routine and was convinced at one point that the Fawlty Towers of chip shops closing down had a hand in our poor form last season :D

I would like to know, too.

Their website doesn't confirm either way, as far as I can see.

Normal Saturday opening apparently is from 5pm, but surely they'll open earlier today?

Aye, it was.
And the fish and chips were the highlight of the day.
Along with counting out a few tins for the sake of folk who can't afford fish and chips.
And the chance of course to meet up with Green_parrot. ;)
