Member of Man Utd staff taken ill in Perth - pre-season tour of Australia

United said the employee - who is part of the backroom team - was '...sent to hospital by our club doctor for further treatment...'
'...We request that medical confidentiality is respected...'

the report originally stated that the person was in his 50's - that has since been removed

Overdose according to one media outlet, but they'll probably change that once they've finished getting everyone's attention.

whatever the problem I hope the person is soon better and if it was an OD then let's hope he/she gets all the necessary help to avoid a recurrence and a possible more permanent outcome

It's been confirmed that it was Mark Dempsey and he was found to be suffering from dehydration.
