Post by Clarets4me » Sat Jul 13, 2019 11:56 am

With 3 sides involved in the Lancashire Club KO Trophy on Sunday, three of the 1st Division fixtures are being played today, rather than tomorrow..

Lowerhouse v Darwen
Ramsbottom v Norden
Walsden v Todmorden

The other three and the 2nd Division games are on Sunday ..

Clitheroe v Accrington
Crompton v Burnley
Rochdale v Church

Division 2 ..

Bacup v Great Harwood
Colne v Milnrow
East Lancashire v Nelson
Enfield v Littleborough
Haslingden v Rawtenstall
Middleton V Rishton

NB: If anyone's at Liverpool Road this afternoon, keep an eye out for one of our fellow posters, sporting his new black " Ceefax " T-shirt !! ;) ;)

What's going on with the last few overs recently?

They had 5 left In the shed other week with 5 overs left, and made about 11 runs.
Seems to be happening quite a bit.

I wonder if it is a case of not swinging the bat and keeping their average up, or is it done under instruction?

27/3...pro gone for 4. Bowled charging down the wicket. Air shot. Ridiculous way for a pro to get out in the circumstances. Irresponsible.

Just like last week, when the weather is good and you want a full day at the cricket it goes and finishes early.

You would have stood out a mile, perhaps ! The Lowerhouse " Ultras " are very keen on correct grammar, as David Ashworth would say, " English, the language of Shakespeare ! " ... :D
